One plus two? Teaching foreign languages to young Czech children

Abstract

This article deals with some questions and issues related to early foreign language acquisition in the Czech Republic. The most important legislative documents for this area are introduced, on a national as well as European level. The second part of this article introduces research results obtained from 141 respondents - parents whose children attend kindergarten in the Zlin Region.
