Measurement of interfacial instabilities during coextrusion of LDPEs in flat dies

Abstract

The measurement of interfacial instabilities during coextrusion of LDPEs in flat dies was discussed. The shear stress at the interfaces was also calculated to determine the critical shear stress of the materials. It was found that the behavior of the materials during the cast film multi-manifold coextrusion was similar to the material behavior during the film blowing process.
