dc.description.abstract Nanostructured Fe3O4/ZnO microparticles were prepared in two steps via microwave assisted solvothermal synthesis. Magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles synthesized in the first step were used as a seeds for growth of ZnO rods in the second step. Resulting hierarchical structure contains cores of single or several magnetic particles immobilized within the network constituted from entangled ZnO rods. The material enables separation by external magnetic field. en
