Abstract: | In this paper, the effect of the process aids on the zigzag type of interfacial instabilities in coextrusion flows has been investigated theoretically via viscoelastic finite element method (FEM) simulations as well as experimentally. New slip model based on 'effective continuum method' for description of the slip was developed and used for the theoretical investigation. Theoretically determined processing/materials rules according to which a stabilisation effect with slip additives can be achieved are compared with corresponding experimental results and discussed. | ||||||||||
