Abstract: | The electronic nose is one of the possible devices for determining the quality and spoilage of food. Furthermore, it can be a device, for example, for analysis of the food, determination of the manufacturing process state, or the degree of falsification of the food. There are not yet, portable, universal, and affordable measuring instruments with sufficient accuracy in the food industry. In this work, a prototype of a simple experimental electronic nose was created for testing in the food industry field with the aim of future miniaturization, testing of trial methods, and testing of extension equipment. The gadget was controlled by microcontroller ATmega 2560 and used chemoresistive sensors. Program equipment was created for processing data on the control computer for principal component analysis of measured data. Even though the experimental electronic nose is simple, it enables, after processing data, to expose a decay of selected food or the difference between commodities. | ||||||||||
