Abstract: | This paper describes TCP/IP communication blocks in the program MATLAB/Simulink. The developed blocks have been modified and they support implementing any type of communication protocol by using Dynamic-link library. The communication protocol can be easily changed. In addition, a sending buffer can be implemented in a case of high frequency. This server and client blocks allow Simulink models to communicate between Simulink and remote applications or devices over TCP/IP communications. S-functions provide interaction with Simulink and extend capabilities but have to be compiled as C MEX files using the mex utility. In the S-function algorithm is implemented a socket as a client or a server and enables to send or receive data. This paper describes these blocks and brief instructions for building these blocks. The code and behavior of the client is presented in the sample example. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG. |
