dc.description.abstract The main task of this paper is to describe a visualisation method for Brumov Castle. This castle was probably founded in the first half of the 13 th Century and grew rapidly until the end of 16 th Century. Brumov Castle was an important residence of the local aristocracy in this period. At the beginning of the 18 th Century, the castle lost its importance and was gradually abandoned and the construction was dismantled for building material. Research by historians has made it possible to create sketches and paintings of the castle in different centuries. Five 3D complex models of the castle were created - in the 13 th , 14 th , 15 th and 16 th Centuries, based on the appearance of the present ruins and its vicinity. The last model corresponds to its current appearance. All buildings and accessories were separately modelled and textured using UV mapping techniques. The visualisation outputs are performed by rendered images and animations. The Blender software creation suite was used for visualisation purposes. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019. en
