Factors of sustainable tourism and their application

Abstract

Tourism as a globally important sector and world's fastest growing industry is a source of job creation for millions of people and contributes to global GDP significantly, has some downsides related to environmental, economic and sociocultural aspects. A sustainable approach can minimize such negative consequences. This study is the analysis of such approach and evaluation of sustainable tourism by determining level of sustainability and its factors to envisage how appropriately tourism opportunities are being used. So, this study discussed the sustainable tourism, its factors and determination. Keeping in view the current literature and scope, a comprehensive methodology of tackling the issue and obtaining goals has been described. For future research, the base of this study is very useful and will provide a way to address these issues which will definitely be helpful in formulating future tourism policy, better management of tourist destinations for the stability of tourism and sustainable development.
