Teacher's perceptions of their professional proficiency: Theory and Research

Abstract

Theory and research on how teachers assess their professional skills are developed over thirty years ago. In this time rallied impressively large body of empirical knowledge about the perception of professional skills of teachers in the various stages of the teaching career in various subjects on the types of schools and schools with different social and cultural backgrounds. Research interests are left outside or student teachers because they were looking for the roots of professional skills before entering a teaching practice.

Teória a výskum o tom, ako učiteľ posudzuje svoju profesijnú zdatnosť, sa rozvíja už vyše tridsať rokov. Za tento čas sa zhromaždil pozoruhodne veľký súbor empirických poznatkov o vnímaní profesijnej zdatnosti učiteľov v jednotlivých etapách učiteľskej kariéry, v roznych vyučovacích predmetoch a typoch škol a skol s roznym sociálnym a kultúrnym zázemím. Mimo výskumného záujmu nezostali ani študenti učiteľstva, pretože sa hľadali korene vzniku profesijného sebavnímania už pred vstupom do vyučovacej praxe.
