dc.description.abstract This article analyzes the legislative and technical requirements for electromagnetic compatibility of machinery for the production of sugar. Compliance with the EMC requirements is important in terms of the process of placing products on the market and also in terms of practical design and installation of machinery. Failure to comply with EMC requirements may lead to failure of machines and increase the risk of dangerous situations. The machinery (through their design – including electrical and electronic components) must comply with the requirements of Government Decree no. 601/2006 Coll., on technical requirements for products in terms of electromagnetic compatibility. These requirements are detailed in the relevant technical standards series CSN EN 61000-6. Exceptions are provided for fixed installations. Practical realization of the measurement of electromagnetic radiation and testing of electromagnetic susceptibility is the only way to properly verify the EMC parameters of machinery. © 2015, Listy Cukrovarnicke a Reparske.All Rights Reserved. en
