dc.description.abstract Monograph provides an overview of current concepts of critical and creative thinking in the context of education and key competencies of the individual. The authors divided the monograph into two dimensions, theoretical and empirical. Theoretical dimension discusses and defines the personality and the cognitive psychology of individuals, key competencies, critical thinking and creative thinking. These themes are summarized in the conclusion of the theoretical dimension to the schema, which characterizes the relationship between personality, critical and creative thinking. The empirical dimension presents the results of the research, which is engaged in exploration of the critical and creative thinking in tertiary education. The authors clearly define the terms and summarize research data, ideas and suggestions that enable a comprehensive view on the issue. en
