dc.description.abstract Personality and character properties of managers are becoming current business practice for small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic increasingly important factors for which there is an emphasis on the selection process. The paper deals with the likely existence of differential access to this pillars of holistic competence of candidates for managerial positions in men and women actively involved in the selection process of potential manager, therefore HR managers and business owners that fall into the category of SMEs. The aim of the research was based on established verify hypotheses if women put a greater emphasis on the need for social maturity candidates for managerial positions within the recruitment process in SMEs in the Czech Republic than men. From research, we can say that women put greater emphasis on the need for social maturity at competitions in the surveyed enterprises. en
