dc.description.abstract The existence of crisis management in enterprises and ensurance of the quality of staffing in the form of a holistically competent management firms becomes the current key needs for the corporate management. These concepts are unknown especially in large enterprises, enterprises with multinational ownership structure or companies with a global action in the market. The article deals with the need of including crisis management duties to standard management in small and mediumsized enterprises, and in relation to the competence of holistic management of this type of enterprise. Specific research was conducted in small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the region Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. The aim of our research was to determine the level of awareness and practical application of management responsibilities in crisis management in relation to the holistic management competence in selected small and medium-sized enterprises in the region. en
