dc.description.abstract The goal of the submitted article is to analyze innovations and their implementation into practice on the basis of a survey in selected hotels. The article focuses on comparison of trends in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. Article is based on the analysis of innovation and subsequent comparison of selected hotels in the Czech Republic and abroad. Article consists of structured interviews with managers of selected hotels about the current innovations and trends in the hotel industry. There are included questionnaires for hotel clients and analysis of their expectations, then comparison of the expectations of managers and hotel customers. Article concludes total summary, comparison of the obtained information and proposal of innovation according to ideas of managers and customers. en
