<title>Challenges and opportunities in university-based humanitarian mapathons: Enhancing citizen science contributions to open spatial data</title>

<description>Challenges and opportunities in university-based humanitarian mapathons: Enhancing citizen science contributions to open spatial data
Trojan, Jakub; Srnečková, Tereza
Citizen science has become a key paradigm for the creation and improvement of digital geographic data, especially in areas often neglected by commercial mapping initiatives (Vohland et al., 2021). University mapathons are an important tool for engaging students in humanitarian mapping and have the potential to contribute significantly to the quality and quantity of volunteered geographic data as a gathering place for a particular community interested in self-development and contributing to society-wide development. This paper analyses the complex aspects related to the organisation and implementation of mapathons in a university setting, focusing on a case study of Tomas Bata University in Zlín.

<title>Causes and consequences of the capacity crisis In health care organizations</title>

<description>Causes and consequences of the capacity crisis In health care organizations
Hoke, Eva; Heinzová, Romana; Peterek, Kamil
The presented paper deals with the lack of employees. This situation is called the capacity crisis. The capacity crisis in the Czech Republic is plaguing companies and organizations in the private and public sectors. The paper aimed to map the situation in all hospitals in the Czech Republic using a questionnaire survey and to find out what consequences this capacity crisis has. The situation is even worse now that the Covid-19 pandemic is straining medical facilities like never before. A weighted average for each category was used to evaluate the questionnaire survey and individual preferences. The results of the analysis confirmed the assumption of the author's team. All hospitals face an acute shortage of doctors and nurses, regardless of the size of the organization. A clear consequence of the capacity crisis is the overloading of staff, which is often in conflict with the Labor Code. The paper concludes with a summary and discussion of how to improve the readiness of hospitals in the future. Only a system solution can improve the situation.

<title>Bike-sharing system in the Czech Republic and foreign</title>

<description>Bike-sharing system in the Czech Republic and foreign
Víchová, Kateřina; Peterek, Kamil; Hrabec, Dušan; Taraba, Pavel
This paper discusses the bike-sharing system in the Czech Republic and selected neighboring states. The current problem of deteriorating air quality is driving cities to implement an efficient, more environmentally friendly approach. One of them is introducing a system of shared resources - shared bikes, scooters, cars, and others. Our goal is to address the issue of shared bikes, which are already widely used worldwide. However, it is necessary to point out that it is essential to have the bikes appropriately distributed in the stations, and their collection during the night at frequented stations must be ensured. The paper aimed is to analyze bike-sharing systems in the Czech Republic and foreign countries in Middle Europe, primarily in the Slovak Republic. The bike-sharing system in the Czech Republic and Slovak republic was analyzed mainly. The Poland bike-sharing system was added. The analysis of the bike-sharing providers was based on the available data. Based on the results, we can conclude that two (three) primary providers are in the selected states. These providers have different ways of bike storage. The vast difference is the number of bikes in the chosen town with the same population.

<title>Analysis of rheological behavior of elastomeric blends</title>

<description>Analysis of rheological behavior of elastomeric blends
Skalková, Petra; Labaj, Ivan; Božeková, Slavomíra; Mičicová, Zuzana; Janík, Róbert; Dobrovská, Jana; Benčíková, Eleonóra
This work deals with the study of rheological properties of two types of elastomeric blends. Rheological properties such as shear rate, shear stress and dynamic (shear) viscosity of two types of elastomeric blends with a different compositions were measured. The properties were determined by capillary and oscillating rheometer under laboratory conditions and also by using an extruder under operating conditions. The work was mainly focused on determining of the deviation of elastomeric blends from Newtonian fluid flow, which was determined on the basis of obtained graphical dependences of blends from measured rheological parameters using different types of rheometers and a wide range of shear rates. Since elastomeric blends are considered to be pseudoplastic fluids, the shear viscosity values showed a decreasing tendency with increasing shear rate. Blend 1 has better flow properties and thus processing properties because the deviation from the Newtonian flow is smaller and closer to the ideal fluid flow. Blend 2 contains a higher proportion of natural rubber, and thus shows higher stiffness and poorer processability.
