Abstrakt: | If Europe wants to compete with emerging economies, there is a need to create new jobs for the dynamic knowledge-based society. This will require investments in education, science, and also in employment policy, which must keep pace with the development. The aim of European cooperation in the field of education and training cannot be just the achieving a certain percentage of people with higher education, but it has to focus its attention on ensuring the adequate quality of education and applicability of graduates in the labour market. At the same time it is necessary to find ways for interaction between fields of study and demand of the labour market, for example through the cooperation between employers and educational institutions. Part of the study is the presentation of possible solution supported by a research focused on linking theory and practice, which is one of the priority objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy. |
