dc.description.abstract The presented algorithm design of the control of district heating output by means of the hot water piping eliminates the transportation delay, That transportation delay occurs in the case in which is used the qualitative way of control only and is depending upon the velocity of hot water and upon the length of hot water piping. The new qualitative-quantitative method of control of district heating output by means of hot-water piping which is simultaneous and continuous action of two manipulated variables i.e. qualitative part (control of temperature difference on the heating plant exchanger) and quantitative part (control of rate of flow through the circulatory pumps) enable to eliminate the transport delay between the heating plant exchanger and a remote locality of relatively concentrated consumers. © 2003 IFAC. en
