dc.description.abstract The research presented in this paper is focused on the fire protection of the transport transformers station containers, which serves as a mobile transformer stations especially for companies' purposes. Whole installation process including both fire safety system Hygood and power transformer station system is completed in the Czech Republic. Then, after training of operators, completed container is distributed to abroad. For container's fire safety, the fixed firefighting system Hygood is used. Moreover, the discussion of the basic concepts, legislation and construction-designing process of the Hygood FM-200 system and its maintenance can be found in this paper. The FM-200 extinguishing agent helps extinguish fire while minimalizing damage to the power transformer station system. Also, the environmental impact and safety of FM-200 exposed persons is discussed in this paper, especially possibility of injury while breathing the agent. Furthermore, the basic characteristic of the agent and its decomposition in the air is described. © 2017 Kaunas University of Technology. All rights reserved. en
