dc.description.abstract Of all the legal systems that have been developed so far in the world, two basic models of corporate governance have been created: one-level (unitary) model, also called Anglo-Saxon or Anglo-American model, and the two-level (dual) model, which is called European model. Exactly the corporate governance model has a significant impact on the way of the entire functioning of the organization. In the article the advantages and disadvantages of each model are presented and the dominant model used in the Czech Republic is confirmed. en
