dc.description.abstract Creativity and the growth of the creative class is currently considered one of the main prerequisites for the successful development of the region. Conditions for the existence and growth of the creative class is necessary to purposefully develop in line with the economic potential of the region. The present study examines the growth prospects of the creative class at the regional level of the Czech Republic. The aim of the researches was to identify prerequisites for building a creative space as a creative center in the selected region. Conditions of formation of creative centers have been established on the basis of analyzes, summaries and subsequent comparison of the results of research conducted by graduates of the Faculty of Arts Regional High School. The obtained results were compared with the findings of the research on already established co-working centres in the Czech Republic (on those which to some extent function also as creative centres). This comparative analysis resulted in the identification of the conditions and recommendations for the establishment of a creative centre in the Zlin Region, which is supported by the management of the university as well as the representatives of the regional bodies and the businesses. en
