dc.description.abstract Today, Knowledge Management is one of the most frequently discussed problems and issues since it relates to development trends in societies and enterprises. It is important to note that we should see Knowledge Management not only as a trend but also as a systematic possibility of company perfection in the conditions of global competition. The basic economical resources are not only materials, natural resources or labour, but, first and foremost- people. Companies should understand that the greatest wealth that they have at their disposal is in the qualities, knowledge and intelligence of their people. The main aim of this paper is to refer to the qualitative and quantitative research made into Czech business companies in the period 2008 to 2010. Within the overall framework of this research study, we shall identify the knowledge management level and its connection to a manager's soft skill which are usable in the working practice of Czech business companies. In the article's conclusion, practical suggestions are made for the application of Knowledge Management levels in Czech business companies. en
